I shall give a little explanation of the Barca game from last night. It was quite the adventure!
I met Pedro outside the metro stop - though, being your typical Brazilian, he was a half hour late – which ended up being okay becuase Alicia didn’t arrive with Luis until way later than expected as well, so it was all fine. Once I found Pedro we got on the mission to get our tickets which we had already reserved online. And, thank goodness we did because it ended up being a madhouse. People were telling us that they didn’t have any of the “general” seats left (the cheapest ones) and that we would have to pay 18 euros for them. After dancing around ticket counters we finally found someone who could look up our reservations and we got the tickets for 7 euros instead. Excellent! For all of you who don’t know, that is a ridiculously cheap price for a futbol game.
Anyway, we found Alicia and then hiked all the way to the top of the stadium – which was frickin HIGH. But honestly, we realized that even though they were crappy like… 5th tiers seats, they actually weren’t bad at all. I could see everhything quite clearly, it was just small. And it was legitimately fun. People were always singing…umm.. something and yelling at the refs – even though from our areas OBVIOUSLY no one was going to hear them. Still, a blast. Never mind the fact that the three of us essentially froze to death up there, it was nice to see them win.
And, with that abrupt ending, good night!
“being your typical Brazilian, he was a half hour late”
Hee hee!! In this one Spanish class I took, we used to have these 5 minute breaks & the teacher would sometimes add “de Mexico” meaning we could actually take 10 minutes. Good times
The best team of Spain is “Barcelona” and after “Celta de Vigo”.
Messi is the best football player of the world, and xavi has a brain excelent.
Celta is a team what it is playing football in second division in Spain.
