8:06 – Got up, after much snoozing.
9:00 – Left for the metro, a bit rushed, I must say.
9:20 – Bought a water from the cafe in ESCI
9:30 – Arrived at class, learned some Spanish – though not as much as I probably should. I was not in the Spanish groove thing this morning.
11 – Bought a croissant from the cafe in ESCI
11:15 – Walked with Laura to UPF in an attempt to find internet for her. Unable to do so easily.
11:45 – Went back to ESCI, realizing that was the best and easiest route anyway. Bought a cheese sandwhich from the cafe in ESCI. Sat around with her until I finally decided I had nothing to do and then went home.
12:30-4 – Laid around at home. Read some Pride and Prejudice. Siesta’d.
5 – Went to Legal Markets of the European Union. Class was quite full. I’m super glad I’m not trying to switch into it.
6:30 – Found Alicia in the cafe at ESCI. Bought a chocoate crepe thing from the cafe. Yes, I spend a lot of money there.
6:45 – Found Laura and Luis. Realized that there were big plans to go out tonight. Looked down in dismay at my messenger bag full of school stuff. Left school supplies in CIEE office in ESCI.
7:30 – Walked with Laura to Flamenco.
8:05 – Realized that we were obviously standing in front of the wrong Banco as none of the group was there to meet us.
8:20 – Found the right bank, got teased, walked to Flamenco
9:00 – Saw a very neat but short flamenco show. The man who was dancing was totally a picture of a Spaniard. Could easily picture him on the cover of a smutty romance novel holding a half-naked woman in a beautiful meadow. He moved very fast. Was impressed.
9:30 - Realized that the show was way shorter than anticipated. Went back to home stay.
10:30 – Ate awesome meal made by Mar (seriously, such a good cook). Had a really good conversation with her and Mickey about all sorts of things, including politics. I understand so much. I just need to work on my vocabulary and very conjucation (aka, I need to work on my Spanish!)
11 – Took shower
11:22 – Realized that I really need to get to the metro because I’m meeting Laura there in 8 minutes to go out to a club “Apollo”.
11:23 – Posted this.
Ashley, we were at a Flamenco show on the same day in different countries! I went to one near my hometown with one of my friends whose parents were too tired to go, so the tickets passed to us. amazing…. and all the people performing were from Spain. I definitely thought of you.
